We make a living by what we do, but we make a life by what we give.

Foot Care

Foot Care

Keeping horses healthy is a big job. They must be fed and groomed and their stalls need cleaning. They also need exercise to keep them in condition and training to correct behavioral problems. Some come to us with medical problems that require monitoring and treatment. Many horses just need to learn to trust people again. We can use assistance in:

  • Stable and stall maintenance
  • Training – Riding & ground work
  • Grooming & general handling
  • Feeding and medications
  • Assisting with adoption process – home visits & follow-up

Keeping an equine rescue healthy also requires work and there are many ways in which you can volunteer your special skills to make a difference in the lives of rescue horses. Some of these are:

  • Accounting and Bookkeeping
  • Web page designing & updating
  • Newsletters – writing articles & photography
  • Facilities repair & building
  • Mowing grass
  • Fundraising
  • Coordinating events
  • Public relations & awareness
  • Manning booths
  • Education
  • Assisting visitors
  • Can you think of others?
